Dr David Ma

Dr. David Ma was born in Japan but was raised in the Bay Area and considers here to be home. He received his undergraduate degree at UC Davis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior; and his dental degree at University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with honors in clinical practice and community service. After dental school, he pursued further training by completing a General Practice Residency at the Northern California Veteran Affairs Hospital where he received extensive experience in full mouth rehabilitations and complex treatment planning.

Since completing residency, Dr. Ma has been committed to building lifelong relationships with patients based off trust, transparency, and excellent clinical results. He strives for each patient to have a full understanding of their current dental status to mutually create an ideal, proactive treatment plan to improve their oral health. In order to stay connected with his professional community and continually learn new techniques and best practices, Dr. Ma is actively involved with the California Dental Association, Alameda County Dental Society, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, SPEAR Study Clubs, and CDOCS Education.  

Dr. Ma lives locally in Rockridge with his partner and enjoys trying to get better at golf and tennis, playing with his Australian Shepherd, Albie, and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams!
