Dr. Jill A. Martenson is a co-owner of Piedmont Dental By Design and has cared for the Piedmont community for 30 years. She was voted Best Esthetic Dentist by Best of the East Bay readers in 2024 and 2025, and is a member of the AACD, ADA, and CDA — three of the professional associations most associated with cosmetic dental standards.
She co-owns the practice with Dr. David Ma, who handles restorative work; board-certified periodontist Dr. Filippo Cangini completes the team — so patients can stay with one practice for cosmetic, gum, and structural care.

Piedmont Dental By Design accepts most insurance plans. The simplest path is to call (510) 350-3937 with your card and our team will verify your specific coverage and walk you through what's included before your visit. Financing is also available for treatments not fully covered.
Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, a list of any medications you take, and any dental records or X-rays from a previous practice if you have them. New patient forms can be completed online or at the office; allow an extra ten minutes if you'd rather fill them out in our waiting area.
